We were commissioned by Swedish House Mafia to build their stage rig for their EU & US tour including Coachella Festival 2022.
The rig inside holds a computer, multiple mixers, dj decks, sequencer and samplers, effect processors, custom made light effects and mechanical tape reels.

“The room is dark and quiet as each guest is ushered to stand facing a projector screen, back against the wall. Take a step forward and the screen flickers and comes to live, showing moving particles and vibrant colors. Slow music pipes into speakers which surround the guest in a 4.1 configuration. As guests move closer to the screen, the beat increases, the music intensifies, the visuals on screen move and react in sync with the sounds in the room.”
“The idea to create and present Dreamland for Kulturnatt Stockholm 2022 was first proposed by Game Programming student Benjamin Ting, while teaming up with Interactive Sound Design students Robert Larsson and Troy Davis. This is not their first project together with them having worked on two computer game projects earlier this year.”

A chill out space at a party in Värmeverket.
Using the Kinects LiDAR camera to project silhouettes of the viewer and a particle cloud reacting to the sounds of the space. All done live rendering in TouchDesigner.

Daniel Slåttnäs art work is often about interpretations of signals. In this piece we had sensors on plants (placed on their leaf) which signaled changes in the room to my modular synths. You could say the plants performed as musicians and I was the audio engineer.
